Default CAN\'T WORK WITH BEAT DETECTIVE

Is it me not understanding something or what?
I capture a region (in Bar/Beat marker mode, put the sensitivity on 0, analyse, generate..everything fine so far. It becomes weird when I begin putting some sensitivity to the slider: Let's say I'm in "Bar" resolution. First marker appears, then a second when I add more sensitivity and then the second dissapears and another one appears at another place! Than with even more sensitivity it comes back..and dissapears again and so on.
I can't move the cursor manually because it dissapears too when I do so!
I've tried in another session: same thing happens.
Anyone else?
Could it be a corrupted download from PT 5.1?I've got a G4/400
PT 24Mix+

you could try going less than bar resolution - sub beats works well for me.

Ive been using BD a lot, fantastic tool - not a miracle worker, things have to be vaguely right first, then hit it with the detective for solid timing - great!

Good luck! - bob

That used to happen to me Uma when I forgot to follow the process that in the manual. Namely, you have to tell beat detective first what bars its dealing with first eg.bar 42-49 then you MUST hit the generate button so that it puts two markers in at the start and the end of bars And then you hit analyze. It does not fail if you follow this process, I sincerely apologize if you're already down with this, but you know how it is-human error etc.

Good luck!
