Default Cool Guitar FX PLugin

Does anyone know of a plugin that will create a good stereo effect from a mono guitar signal? For example, I've heard many smooth jazz recordings where the guitarist plays a chord or picks a solo riff and you can hear the strings in the riff go randomly from left to right in your speakers. I think the PS22 plugin from Waves does that, but the PS22 plug is only for HD or TDM versions Anybody know of another company that makes a plug like that for LE or even VST (I've got the wrapper)?

You are listening to a 'pingpong' delay. Pretty easy to set up. See my post on this thread for a screenshot: here

PSP has a few nice Lexicon delay plugins here that should rock your socks off. Lexicon is known for excellent effects processing. Their delays in the legacy LXP 1 are superb!

That wasn't meant as an accusation! There's plenty of good freebies around, but of course the best are the ones you pay for.

I've got guitar rig. Awsome. But i don't think it does what you're specifically looking for. I think my Yamamha FX500 might, but that's hardware. I'm sorry I can't help any further, but I am sure I've seen freebie plugs that will do what you're asking for.

Don't like to have posted any advice that is so utterly useless, so here's a couple of freebies

Bionic Delay

Check out Echo Mania on the same page

KarmaFX Deelay

voxengo tempodelay (I thought I'd seen something on Voxengo's site recently)

and - TA DA! - VPingpong Delay

Ernest,
That should be quite simple to do even with the stock Digidesign DLY plugins..Use a stereo set, adjust filters and modulation to taste..
I'm not much of a plug user, what you're describing is easily reproducible on my Eventide H3000.
I think they have some software emulation available as well..
Google it..
good luck,

If you really mean randomly, it´s a delay. But it may be a hex pickup as well, one mic for each string, that is. Then you just pan and process the individual strings any way you like.

I think its something like what you're talking about. You can hear certain STRINGS within the chord or riff playing in another speaker. It's not just delay. It doesn't feel like delay, at least. It's almost like panning each individual string to your taste.
