You mean that ONLY the chipsets on the compatibility page are compatible with Pro Tools ? They are only recommended...
I'm asking if this one in particular has been tested by someone...

thanks

Yes.

IF it is not on the list, then it is not approved.
You WILL NOT GET SUPPORT.

You MAY make things work, but supported chipsets is CRITICAL!

I have a Radeon Xpress 200 chipset in my notebook, with an Athlon64 4000+, and a gig of RAM. Seems to work fine for me. I don't expereience any more or less probalems than with other previously recomended chipsets.

The only reason that Digi (or anybody else) lists some particular brand or model of hardware as compatible, is because those companies send them their products free of charge to qualify their software on.

There are several other people using the Radeon Xpress chipset on thie board as well. You might do a search and find some good info.

my mistake, i read something about a gfx card that was 200 something and assumed you were talking about that. now i see, many of the Xpress 200 boards have intergrated gfx, stay well clear of any of them.
its a bit stupid to call it a Radeon, where the distinction between video and mobo chipsets. calling it Xpress just confuses people between PCIe and PCI-X. oh well
