AAF Crashing Pro Tools

Trying to import AAF from Logic Pro 7.2.3 into Pro Tools HD 7.1cs9 (Powermac G5-OS 10.4.10). It is crashing Pro Tools everytime. I have tried every format at every sample rate, but it just seems to hate it. Any ideas as to why?

Hi,

Been a while since i've used AAF, but can you use "import session data" and see if its only a specific track or tracks that cause it to quit! just try import a few tracks at a time and see when it quits.

Ideally this would be a possibility. The problem is that as soon as I select the AAF file to import, pro tools crashes entirely. I can't even get to the window that prompts you to import track data. It is really frustrating!

Well, sounds like this AAF file is not going to work at all. have you got access to the logic session? the easiest way is to use, bounce all tracks to audio. Or try an OMF file? I have used all three ways, and rarely have any problem.

Are you able to open any OMF or AAF file?
