Default Mbox 3 stuttering when streaming audio

Hello!

I have a very weird problem with my Mbox 3. I just upgraded my motherboard to a asrock b450m-hdv running with a Ryzen 2700x CPU. Since the upgrade (and not before), there is sometimes a stutter/choppy sound when streaming audio from the internet, especially when streaming video such as on youtube. It also seems to become more frequent with heavy CPU usage such as loading another program. As far as I can tell, I don't have the problem when playing audio or video that's already on my hard drive.

I have tried to fiddle with sample rates and buffer sizes, tried all USB-ports (both 3.0 and 2.0), and reinstalling drivers.

Has anybody had any similar issue? Extremely thankful for any ideas about what might be causing this.

Thanks so much in advance
Simon

Windows users are usually happier if they leave the interface for Pro Tools audio, and use the on-board sound card for all other audio

Yeah so I've heard... I'm just wondering what might be the difference between now and before the upgrade. If it's hardware or software.

Have my HS8's hooked up and it worked flawlessly before
