Midi Without a controller
Hi i am just wondering if it is possible to capture midi data by just clicking on the virtual instrument without a controller. For example creating midi data by clicking on the keys of the mini grand virtual instrument. I can hear it play but can't seem to capture the midi data. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Midi Without a controller
That won't work, but you can just as easily drop notes on the piano roll with the mouse, or import midi files from the internet(and edit as needed). Ultimately, if you have any keyboard skill at all, you will want some kind of controller. If money is tight, shop for a cheapo used synth. I bought an old Ensoniq Mirage for $50. Not only does it actually work, by sticking in any sound floppy, it makes a decent midi controller for Pro Tools
