Default Questions about S6L

So I have some seemingly silly questions about the S6L. Which device runs the Venue software? Is it the console or the mix engine or a combination of both? Is the E6L mostly just a number cruncher and does the S6L just tell it what to do? Also, if the S6L loses power does the E6L continue to pass audio (kind of like the separate engines on the Digico stuff)?

Sorry if these seem like silly questions.

Mostly yes.

Yes. Keep in mind that in this case you will lose audio paths coming through the console (console I/O and ProTools).

One caveat.... if you use the redundant power supplies correctly (not plugged in to the same circuit, or one in circuit, the other in a UPS) then unless there is a complete blackout, loss of power shouldn't be a concern. Power loss happens when both power supplies are plugged into the same circuit.
