2940UW not recognising Syjet drive

[Samhein]

We have a ProTools|24 MIX system running off a PowerMac G3.

We purchased a Syjet to do recording.

So the connection is:

Adaptec 2940UW ->HardDisk 1 ->HardDisk 2 ->Syjet.

But the Syjet does not mount. The same syjet works fine when connected directly to the back of the native Mac SCSI.

What gives? Some software setting on the Power Domain or Syjet?

The harddisks being used are Ultrawide (68 pin). The syjet is actively terminated.

Please advice.
