Default Digibase and PT 9

Hello, here is another problem:
1) Using Digibase with PT9. When I start searching with Digibase (only on local harddrives) the complete system is can not be used for about 45 sec. After this time the first results appear and I can stop the search or use PT for working. Is this a normal reaction to block the system for such a long time?

2) When I try to drag a sound from the database into the PT session, it isn´t possible to place the sound in a track that isn´t shown in the edit window. It is not possible to drag the sound, scroll down the window and drop the sound in the track!
Has anybody an idea?
Thanks a lot for every help
