I've been working at 96k since 2006 and never really had any problem recording audio as I can remember. The trouble starts when using both VI's and plugins.

It's a bit better now with my new i9-7940x rig, but still I experience strange issues occationally. Last night during Audio Stuite processing with Waves Tune Real-Time my computer crashed and went black imidiately without warning and then restarted by itself.

I've also had several freezes the last two weeks when using Pro Tools. Windows 10 completely freeze up and I have to do a physical reboot.

I doubt this are PC hardware issues since it's happend on the old rig aswell. Also crashes only happen when using Pro Tools. Never crashes using other software. I'm 99% shure it's either Windows 10, Pro Tools or some of the plugins that are causing these issues. Most likely it's some buggy plugin or VI.

It would be nice thow if I could get some more informative messages when issues happen. With Windows freez ups and black screen and reeboots it's really hard to telling what's causing the issues. But I'm pretty shure it's not the hardware.
