PT12 and El Capitan

Now that the GM is released, anyone brave enough to try it on 12.2, or even 11.3 for that matter?

I know Musicman, first have a solid backup, never install unsupported OS, yada yada...

Keep us posted. If I recall correctly others had poor results. What does El Capitan offer that you need?

Running on a test drive, with no noticeable problems, not done any serious work on it yet (well you wouldn't would you) but all looks ok so far.

Of course I am not doing real work on an unreleased OS, so I haven't tried anything beyond launching, opening sessions and doing some basic things. All of which seemed fine.

To expect an unreleased OS to work perfectly with an App that hasn't been updated to support it is of course silly. The goal now is for all of us, in our spare time, to help Apple and Avid make the transition smoother.

Will try to Import later today if I have time.

So far all I see is on 11.3.1 the program hangs while opening at the midi editor. Takes 10 minutes and then opens. My midi tracks are there but I don't know if midi is working yet.

In Audio MIDI setup, in Utilities on the Mac, Midi doesn't open so I think this is a OS thing.

And the Avid S3 Led screens just are a big blob of yellow so unless that's fixed in 11.3.2 or 12.2, the S3 is on hiatus.

I'll play more this weekend and see if there are other glitches.

This all may be 11.3.1 related. Who knows since 11.3.2 is AWOL

So far the only issue I've found is the VU meters and the transport counters display run a little slow on my dual monitor setup. I see no performance difference. Maybe these thing will change with the final release and when Avid approves it. Edit I forgot to mention this happens when several plugins are open.
