Default Second C24 I received doesn't Work!!!

I've really had it with Avid a couple weeks back I received a new C24 and Fader 24 was non-functional!!! They sent me a new one, this one even worse.
When I press on any keys in the monitoring section I get a loud pop out of my speakers, especially my L and Sub.
I'm afraid I will damage my speaker.
Don't they have any people doing QA over there?!?!?

Has anyone experienced this string of bad luck too?

Best,
Mitch

What does your dealer say?

Mine would have swapped it out for another ASAP.

It's the second one, since I'm based in Israel he has nothing in stock and first has to speak to AVID Europe.
It's crazy already

In the utilities menu there is a 'reset all analog paths" selection or something like that. I would occasionally have issues in the C/24s monitoring section where the volumes would go all crazy or just cut out and reseting that would fix it. Also, you really don't want to use the C/24 for monitoring anyways. Cloudy and hissy. The hiss on mine just kept getting worse over the years I bought a dedicated monitor controller.

Hey SD,
Good to here from you. Yup I did that, I even checked all my cables, reset firmware etc. Avid is now shipping me out a third C24. It's unbelievable..
All I can say is that the original Control 24 was a much sturdier and solid board.
The Focusrite preamps sounded better and it offered a lot more analog flexibility as far as input and outputs. You're limited with only DB25 cables.
Also why are the preamps on the C24 so low??? Is there anyway to increase the gain beyond the input level pots....also the Automation buttons are such a reach from your faders???
The lucky thing is that Avid never came and picked it up the Control24 yet so I'm now using that instead.
All in all I'm not very happy.

Best,
Mitch

One more detail that might be worth checking; with C24, its imperative that it have a clean and proper earth ground.

Hey Albee. Not only is our electricity on a different line from the whole building.
When we build the studio we did all the electrical wiring from scratch, that said we also have a central UPS and APC on the all the outlets. Thanks, but it's the board.
