Default Can you play along with a track without recording?

I have the new digi 02 rack and am running pro tools 6.1. I want to rehearse tracks without having to record them each time. But unless I record enable the track and the record each take I cannot here the audio while playing. Can anyone help. Thanks for your time

You don't have to record just because the track is record enabled. Ensure that Low Latency Monitoring is off, if I remember correctly. Sorry, it's been a while. Maybe, I shouldn't have responded. I'm pretty certain this is what you have to do. I don't, personally, use the Low Latency Monitoring feature so I never incur this problem that you are experiencing. Anyway, try it and see.

I’m still on PT 5, and I dont have it in front of me right now, but I guess you want to select "Input only monitoring" in the "operations" menu.
