Did they sorta break the trimmer?
On the various systems I use, from 6.7 up, the region trimmer has lost a very useful behavior.
My system at home is still 5.1.1 so I know I'm not hallucinating (this time...) Say I have two adjacent regions with data that could overlap... If I command-drag the trimmer on the region boundaries to the right, the original region border on the left-hand region will extend only as far as the borderline was to begin with. It used to be that, when you moved a border with command-drag, the region that was getting longer would extend as far as you dragged it, up to the end of the available data in the audio file. Now you have to first make a hole between the regions, and control-drag the right-hand region to join up with the left-hand one, before the boundaries will follow faithfully. This makes 2 extra clicks per trim. What gives? Am I crazy? JW |
