So that being said which is cheaper which one is better with digi and which one is easy to configure?? With a P3 will I be able to mix a 24 track session using plugs? Sooooooooooo many questions! Re: Which is more expensive?
Here, here! 24 tracks plus a handful of Aux tracks plus tons of plugins on PIII 933 on a Tyan 2507 with 1GB SDRAM and Maxtor UDMA100 7200 RPM drives.
I even still have my NIC card and an SBLive in there Blessings, Frank S.

Re: Which is more expensive?
You will most likely get off cheaper going with AMD Athlon CPU's. I just got a new Board, CPU and case, and came in at about 250 bucks for everything.

Re: Which is more expensive?
If you are looking for price/performance, the Athlon is the best way to go right now. The P4s may catch up soon, but the prices of the P4s will probably never come down to match the Athlons at the same performance level. I see that a few companies are optimizing audio plugins and software for the P4s finally. There is also a rumor floating around the DUC on an optimization of PTLE for P4s to be released real soon. That is good for everyone that paid a royalty for those new P4s. I really hope they get it, as they deserve it.
