Default Two editing questions about PT 10

Hi,

I have 2 questions for PT users.

1. How to move a content of an audio clip between the clip borders by mouse? I know it is possible by Slip mode with "Ctrl" and "+" / "-" but is it possible with mouse? I want just slip waveform free without snapping to grid.

2. How to nudge (move) a midi note by cursors? Up and down or left / right? In Logic i use ALT and cursors.

Thank You

J

Use the "<" and ">" keys to nudge MIDI notes (in MIDI Editor) or audio clips. "M" and "?" will nudge by twice the set nudge value. Not sure if it's possible to nudge up/down with MIDI.

It's on Page 15 of the Pro Tools Shortcuts PDF file, under the heading "Editing, Nudging and Trimming."

Thank you PD-John

...and just bump the first question:

"1. How to move a content of an audio clip between the clip borders by mouse? I know it is possible by Slip mode with "Ctrl" and "+" / "-" but is it possible with mouse? I want just slip waveform free without snapping to grid".

AFAIK, that isn't possible. Also, it doesn't matter which edit mode you're using. I have the nudge value set to 100 samples most of the time, and not to follow main timescale.

Yes, you are right. There is no other way to nudge content of the clip freely. This feature is awesome in Nuendo for example.

Here is also a topic about it:
