003 Factory Controller vs 003 Rack Factory and Axiom Pro

I'm new to LE, having spent the previous 4+ years (all of my PT experience) with M-Powered. I had the Project Mix, which I got rid of recently (acting up). I decided to go with the 003 Factory interface and controller. I haven't used it yet, and am thinking of returning it. Instead, I might get the Rack Factory and an M-Audio Axiom 62 Pro. The reason is that first of all, the Axiom seems to be able to do a lot of the same stuff the 003 does; it automaps to PT and the faders and buttons are all assignable. Also, the Axiom gives me a midi controller for all of my soft synths (the main reason I'm getting a keyboard controller). I'm not a hardcore PT guy and only do music, no post. For my needs, it seems almost redundant to have both the 003 and Axiom, when I can get the Rack for all of my analogue inputs. I am very grateful for any feedback. Thanks.

Seems like a logical choice. if your doing alot on the keyboard logic would be a better platform. opinion of coarse, lets not blow up folks.

Being a keyboardist, I'm VERY picky about the quality of keyboard actions and how they are built. The AxiomPro is the first keyboard from M-Audio that I truly have liked--in fact I'm buying one myself. The action is actually very good! The built quality is excellent, very solid. But what I like is the integration that is there between Pro Tools and the keyboard itself. I wouldn't say that the Axiom Pro does a lot of the same things as the 003 control surface---they are completely different products. IMHO, I'd keep the 003 desktop---that is if you won't miss motorized faders, knobs that show you what you're controlling, and direct access to PT itself. Sure, the AxiomPro will give you a fair amount of control---but it's just not the same thing.
