Default moving time signiture won\'t redraw bar grid

i got a song that's mainly in 6/8 time, expect for couple places where it changes to 5/8 for a bar. When I try to move the time time markers(i.e. 5/8 marker and the 6/8 marker placed at the following bar), the bar where the 5/8 marker used to be will remain as 5 beats instead of 6. I have to delete both time marker to get 6 beats on that bar. Is a better way of doing this?
