No luck at all. Avid please inform Apple.

(Not going to upgrade for this glitch, 200$ + tax + ilok 50$.
is this graphics glitch worth my $250?)

Is it still having the problem after updating to 10.10.1?

Looks like I'll be trying it on 10.9.5 this weekend.

I am trying to re-install on a MacBook running Yosemite and 8.0.3 (the last full install version) won't get past the first screen of the installer. It would be fine if I had 8.0.3 on there before upgrading to Yosemite, but I didn't. Is there anything I can do to get 8.0.3 on this machine?

Thanks....

I "upgraded" to Yosemite in December, in order to run Final Cut Pro X. I thought I'd be S.O.L. with PT 8.0.5 and basically didn't bother with anything ProTools-related until the other day, when I launched it "just to see what would happen." To my surprise, I was able to boot up 8.0.5 and it runs! I can monitor tracks from older sessions, and even bounce mixes. But trying to record with my Mbox 2 is problematic.

It passes signal to ProTools but at a ridiculously hot level that no pad seems to control. (-10db pad on my Aguilar ToneHammer 500 AND the pad on the Mbox.) Plus, it won't pass audio out. Can't hear what I just did, can't hear the click track, nothing.

So: what next?

I've had nothing but problems with Yosemite. i updated it a few months ago as well as updating garage band and since then Pro tools le won't open at all. i tried to reinstall but its telling me that there is an incompatibility error and that it requires OS v10.5.5 and then closes. No options to upgrade program or anything. Also garageband (which was working after the upgrade) all of a sudden has no playback sound. I can record into it but not hear what I've recorded. Any advice?
