It's interesting who said that. I do know that it's well recognized in Avid that iPad app is an extremely demanded feature.

As Valentyn said, it's certainly recognized in Avid that this was the most requested feature on IdeaScale, and it certainly has our attention.

There is by no means a release date for this.

So another update for S6-L and a major fair (PL&S Frankfurt) gone by, still nothing to see on the horizon?!

I cancelled my S6 demo, In 2016 I don't want to do monitors without an app, too bad...

In other words, you know your users want and need it, you just do not care?

This couldn't be farther from the truth, but as I'm sure you've noticed we've spent a lot of time focusing on highly requested features for the S6L. App development is quite a different type of programming task than consoles, it's certainly not as simple as having the current teams drop what they're doing and work on an app that I'm assuming you hope to be free...

And then there are the obvious legal implications with posting dates for products that aren't complete.

Heck of a first post though, haha thanks!

wasnt there something you wrote about own developments?
Is there an API ? What protocol is or can be used?
I know enough app developers, maybe one of them is interested :)

You´re welcome. I have also a nice follow up.

Of course it would be nice with a free app. However, do you really think your customers who payed for the PT collaboration feature in PT 12.5 to find that they have to pay for your cloud service in order to use it really would expect such an app to be free? I don´t. If a good app was released, I would not at all mind paying for it. After all, I expect to be payed for my services, and I don´t ask people to do work for free. However, when I pay top dollar for a product or a service, I expect and demand a professional and complete delivery.

Why don´t you release an API like Karel Noon suggests? I´m sure a few excellent apps would be developed rather quickly.

Wow.. so Mr. Avid Live Sound Product Manager is laughing in the face of his customers and belittling us by assuming we're a bunch of cheap bastards that don't want to pay for an app that is way long overdue. Classy.

And you're great at misunderstanding others.

I certainly hope I'm misunderstanding those comments.

But, last time I checked (which was about 5 minutes ago) "haha" meant this

And the assumption that we want this app to be free? Where did that come from? It was not mentioned once in the thread.

Unfortunately for us all, the comments made on the internets are open to interpretation. So if I'm misinterpreting or misunderstanding the uses of "assuming" and "haha" please shed some light on the mystery.
