I will test it out next time I get a chance and report back if the issue exists on my system, but i can't say I've ever noticed it.

Are you on Mac or PC?

I'm on Pt 11, Mac OS 10.8.5 HDX1.
It's specifically bypassing either the HPF band or the whole plug in whilst in playback of audio (not whilst stopped)

I have been through a variety of systems over the years TDM G4's, G5s, MacPro with HDX on this plug in and its always been there.

Currently running 10.8.5 ML PT 11.1.2. HDX

You have to be playing audio through it (I'm always using multi mono stereo version for mastering)

I've never bothered checking if this happens on mono tracks or it's specific to stereo operation.

I've built countless TDM and HDX rigs I always follow the avid install docs to the minutest detail.

The plug in is at fault. I have witnessed it on other systems too and indeed another user has posted in this chain.

A blemish on an otherwise exemplary EQ with a brilliant GUI and sound.

Hi Neil,

Ok after experimenting I was able to reproduce the clicking, it didn't always happen only sometimes while bypassing the HPF during playback. It was also at a pretty low level so it was difficult to hear, certainly nothing that would damage speakers or hardware.

Thanks for pointing this out though, good to know that you don't want to automate bypass of the HPF or you might get clicks in your master!

:)

It still crashes all the time when you try and access the plug in whilst playing back. Its a graphics crash. It doesn't fully crash tools it just annoyingly stops playback. It says increase buffers etc etc even though its running as DSP.

I still love the sound of it though despite that and the God awful click when bypassing a HPF

Default Full Level Clicking

AAX DSP. Latest version of PT. Lastest Snow Leopard.
Bypass of the plug in causes a full level click. Every time.
This is a really really bad blemish on a previously perfect record.

It is not going well. MDW have failed to fix the problem.
One guy in the company has been carefully working on it with me, another, at the highest level, has been, frankly, hostile.
The latter seems to be in charge so I see little prospect of this being fixed.
This strikes me as a very sad ending chapter to what has been a stellar lifetime contribution to recorded audio.

My particular issue is high level clicks when using Bypass, HPF engaged, 44.1 and 48K only.
Here's what it sounds like.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...20George.L.aif
First 4 Clicks DSP version, Band 5 being switched.
Second 4 Clicks, DSP Global Bypass.
Third group, Native Band 5 being switched.
Fourth group, Native Global bypass

Default Resumed

MDW have resumed work on fixing this. I am helping as best I can.
I will link George to the two other posters here who are experiencing the same full level clicking issue.
Good, DD

Glad this is getting attention. I have the same problem. A plugin at this price point should not be having issues and any problems should have been resolved by now.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Rather loud clicks, annoying.
Love the sound of the plug in general though.
