CD duplication
Hi everyone,
Wondering if you could help......? Iv'e been working on a cd (my own stuff, 10 songs, rock) for quite some time now but am finally ready to call it finished. I've been looking at Oasis or Disc makers to do the art work, mastering and duplicating. Really want it done right. Any experience good/bad with these two companies? Others that you might recommend instead? Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks, David |

Re: CD duplication
I've been using MMsdirect.com for a couple of years. They are in Toronto. They have have done well by me.

Re: CD duplication
We're not a band, we're a radio commercial production company. We recently used Discmakers for our newest demo CD and are very pleased. We didn't use their mastering or design services, so I can't comment on that, but their printing and packaging were top notch.

Re: CD duplication
Discmakers is really great, if you've got the $$. It's expensive, but they do a great job. If you're looking for the best deal, check out: http://www.cdman.com/ (They do fast online quotes too.)
I wouldn't recommend having the manufacturer design your artwork though. Mastering either. |

Re: CD duplication
I've sent a lot of work to Disc Makers, and they have never failed me yet. Some of my clients have sent their work to cheaper companies and it shows in the final product. No audio problems, but the artwork doesn't reproduce well or has the wrong color. It's perfect everytime with Disc Makers. I have not used Oasis.

Re: CD duplication

Re: CD duplication
A long time ago, I had them master my music. Each time I learned from their mastering engineer, and improved to the point where he said my music didn't need any mastering. Now I don't even ask them to master my music because I figured out how to do it myself.
It's a different set of audio skills to master verses mix. It's very hard to mix a song, change hats, and then master it.
