Albee - great

I know I definitely have HD software not just 10 so therefore I am happy.

I understand I will have no TDM (no problem) and my IO will be limited to 32 (no problem) Input latency should not be a problem as I will be using it in connection with an analogue desk so can set up no latency monitoring.
I also have a powerful computer so all should be fine there too.

Many thanks

I will try booting up with the N key tonight just to check it will run ok without the HD hardware connected. I take it I don't have to actually physically remove the HD cards to try this?

Ian

Nope. Leave the cards in. When you select a different "audio engine" you will be telling PT to ignore the cards and use something else(like CORE audio).

Tried opening while holding down n key and it brings up audio engine but does not give me the option to change anything except hardware buffer etc? Why would this be? Could it be because I do not have core audio installed? Does this not get installed automatically when you install protools?
