Default Anyone using Apogee AD8000 ??

is anyone here using an Apogee AD8000 for the extra 8 channels into ptle ??
if so, does it sound good ?
I know its an "old" box but what r the alternates at that level ?

Sorry, no Apogees here, but I'd love to have and AD8000 even if it is older technology. I read a review in Mix magazine recently where the Rosetta 800 was reviewed and compared to the AD8000. The reviewer's opinion was that the AD8000 still sounded a little better, even though the differences were quite small at that level.

thanks, thats interesting to know.

In searching for info i came across the original retail price of around $9000.00 US back in '97

they also seem to be coming down in value a bit:

same with mix core cards, theyre cheap as chips. but support is discontinued
