Default Importing midi files

A friend brought me some midi files for me to import in Pro Tools so that I could assign the sounds to them, what i noticed thought all the midi data is at full velocity 127, how do I import them so that the actual Midi velocity is also imported, thank you in advance for your help

Default Re: Importing midi files

The import Midi does import the velocity which is part of the Midi data. If the vel is 127, then that is the way it is in the original Midi file or the file was created with a proprietary export function that omits velocity. There is no option in PT to modify the vel on import. I hope this is clear. Please refer to Chapt 15 page 301 of the reference guide for further info.
