Default Bouncing Stems

So this may be an obvious fix, but when I solo a track and then offline bounce or commit from my master aux buss, it still bounces/commits the entire song with every track still in it. I've tried creating a VCA and soloing the VCA and still no dice. When I hit play everything is muted but the soloed track as expected, but bounce/commit are ignoring it. HELP.

Are you bouncing a bus or the master output when you're soloing?

I'll show you what I'm talking about. If your bounce source is a bus, it could be different than what you're soloing. If your bounce source is your hardware outputs, the solos should apply. How do you have your i/o setup?

also

Do you have anything solo-safed?

The attached photos show a small (yet large) difference.

Sure that makes sense. I'm all itb and I'm bouncing thru my stereo buss. When I solo the bass and hit play that's all I hear, bass. When I send my stereo buss to an audio track and record it's all bass. When I bounce the stereo buss offline it's everything, regardless of solos. Does that make more sense?

Are you feeding the busses through the track Output or through sends? If sends, are they pre or post fader? Could you attach a photo of your mix window, or bus i/o page?

I can take a screenshot when I'm home.

In the instance of the bass, for example, it outputs (no sends) to a subgroup (shared with drums) which then outputs to the stereo buss, where everything ends up.

I have a similar problem. I am always using a PRINT bus for re-recording the mix, because I am mostly mixing with a summing box. But in some sessions I am working ITB with the PRINT bus, which is set to INPUT monitoring to hear my mix. The PRINT bus' output is routed to Output 1-2. When using the BTD feature and set the source to OUTPUT 1-2, the file is empty, when setting the source to the PRINT bus, it works as expected.
