I have a couple of bad HD Pcie cards if it helps for parts.

Barry,

I'm looking for the resistor that goes in R35, just want to make sure I get the right one before I bring it in to my work and use their PCB soldering station.

Start by "exercising" everything. In other words, unplug everything, pull out the card, vacuum or blow out any dust etc, then put it all back together.

Sometimes reseating everything can knock loose dust or minor corrosion.

Yes. And this should be done more often than only when something is not working. The box has pretty good AD conversion but audio has to come through those grey ribbon cables which are notorious for bad connectors.

(in a perfect world it would be soldered but as it makes servicing much slower there has to be some quick way to unplug it -- so there we are, have to reseat connectors every five years)

I've do all of those precious tips, and so i removed the card from slot, clean etc.
I have also changed the slot PCI, putting the card in another one...but nothing is changed. Digitest doesn't recognize anything.
How can i be sure that the problem is the card? Maybe the 96i/o or the slot PCI of my computer?
I wanna learn more about it....if someone know please tell me...
My best

Remove all cards from the computer and use little alcohol-based cleaner to clean the PCIe connector (perhaps little alcohol-based beverage for you as well). Then re-seat the core card only. If it was a bad connection, it should now have been fixed. You can try for another slots as well, but I don't think that a slot suddenly breaks if the motherboard is otherwise functional.

If the digitest doesn't recognise 96 i/o and it powers up, you might have a faulty digilink cable.

Thank you for the time you spending to me, in my mac (hackintosh with OS 10.5.8) if i select: [finder>info about my mac>hardware>slot pci] it appears a message: no pci seems to be installed.
And...
I'll read better the guide, but i don't find any digi 96 test.
P.s. i remember you that is a Core Card PCI-X, not a PCIe.
Thanks

PCI-X or PCIe it doesn't matter, the digitest must see it
