Default How can i enable my audio device in others applications when Pro Tools is open?

When I turn on Pro Tools 10, my audio device (both with ASIO4ALL or Mbox2) just can not play simultaneously the Pro Tools and any other application audio. It is or one or another, never both at same time.

In the case of Mbox 2, when pro tools is open and i'm playing some sound in youtube for example, the sound of pro tools correctly output's to mbox device, but youtube sounds go for speakers.
In case of asio4all (without a external audio device) when pro tools is open, or only pro tools plays the sound or only the others apps palys.
[I already tried Asio Multiclient and that didn't work either].

How can i do to both applications go to Mbox or ASIO4ALL??

Windows 7,
Processor: quad. 1.5Ghz,
Pro Tools 10,
Mbox 2 mini,
4 Gb RAM,
Usb 2.0.

Thanks for the attention!

The PT driver isn't currently multi client.

This may change in the future we hope.

Indeed, I have always left my interface for Pro Tools only. There are many ways to get other sounds(youtube, WMP, whatever) to come out, and how important this is will determine how to best do it. At the more expensive end(but probably the best audio quality): many computers have a SPDIF output for the on-board audio. I feed that to an optical SPDIF connection on a Presonus central station. At the cheap end; either hook up separate speakers to the computer(do you need to hear youtube videos over nice studio monitors?), or connect on-board sound and interface outputs to a small mixer to feed your speakers(plenty of options that start under $50)

Install a second (or third) sound device. If properly configured, a Protools audio device will share interrupts with another soundcard. I have an AMD Dual Opteron (ancient) with PTHD 10 on a PC. PT HD uses three interrupts. The Nvidia video card (K4000) has built in sound that can be routed to a DP port and played either through a monitor. A Soundblaster "Z" card is relatively inexpensive and has impressive sound quality (up to 192) and will even support surround. The "Z" card has SPDIF out and six line outs as well as mic and headphone jacks.
