New Powerbook 1ghz, 002R, 6035 error
My friend just got the new 12in PB and when connecting the Western Digital firewire drive that I use with my 001 to his system, and then connecting the 002R to the drive, I cant even play back a session on it without getting a 6035 error. I set him just using the internal drive for now and it seems to be running okay even though its only a 5400rpm drive. But,he wants to get a firewire drive for more storage and better performance

Yup, its a know incompatability though i wasnt aware it affected powerbooks too.
straight from the Digidesign site. -Recording with the Digi 002 Rack to a FireWire drive connected to any of the 3 built-in Firewire ports on the 2003 PowerMac G4 "FW800" models can result in -6085 errors. On these computers, Digidesign recommends using a dedicated internal ATA/IDE drive for recording. If using FireWire drives with Digi 002 Rack & 2003 G4 FW800 computers, a FireWire PCI adapter card must be used.

I'm using the g4 laptop, 12" with the 002 running jaguar. No problems so far except for the wiring harness I'm receiving from digi tomorrow.
