Thanks!

Yes i got it as well.....I love BFD2 but that is one weak area...or maybe I'm just picky.........Cymbal's usually never make me happy.

I hope this changes things......if it doesn't i don't think i can blame the software anymore.....

BFD2 is much better than the older BFD which I couldn't stand, but I am enjoying BFD2. The drum samples are top notch with a realism that is lacking in other drum vi's. Not that other drums vi's sound bad, many sound amazing, but alot of them have samples that are already processed while BFD2's samples are raw. It does take more work with BFD2, but the end result is great and unique.

Fxpansion is having a 30% off sale now on Expansion packs and other stuff, I think I'll pick up the BFD Heavy pack as well, it looks like it would work perfectly for metal. The Terry Bozzio pack from eSoundz looks interesting as well.

I wish I would have known about the Steven Slate Drums EX No-Brainer for $20 they had a while back, that would be perfect for getting scratch tracks up quickly, but Strike works great for that as well.

This Gen16 Cymbal pack was an amazing deal, I wonder how AudioMIDI will follow up this great deal? I thought the Etch deal for $20 was great, but this one blew it away.

Its just a shame AudioMIDI re-designed their site the way they did, don't know what they were thinking.

I have always had the same issue w bfd. The platinum samples packs do have some nice sounding cymbals. I use the joe barressi sets and cymbals the most. There are a couple different packs Of the zildjians. These do sound pretty good but I would really like to see some Sabian stuff which I prefer. Even in all the sample packs I own they are majority zildjians. Hint hint Rail......

When bfd came out it was the shiznit. Nothing could hold a candle to it. There were already some 3rd party sound banks out for it that sounded good just not many. I remember placing the pre order before 2 was released anxiously awaiting it! It did not resemble 1 in very many ways and was like learning a new program. Frustrating at first but didn't take long to realize how much more user friendly it is.

It is my goto even over slate for quickly getting a kit up and going. I feel most comfortable with it, get some kits and mixer settings set up and it's a breeze for quick demoing.

I'd like some meinl cymbals, love those things. The Byzance would be a great addition to BFD as would the Generation X series, especially the effects cymbals.

A Tribal percussion pack would be pretty cool too, at least for me.

I'm using SD2 and recently picked up SSD4 Platinum. Hopefully these samples will run with those packages? SSD4 is pretty awesome!!

...and Benoni I agree about the redisign of the audiomidi site. I've also had to re-register at least twice!

not sure how it would work with ssd. ssd cannot read the bfd format and vice versa and i believe this pack is just for bfd.
