Sooo.... That Error 1167 eh?
Hello all,
I'm Cal. I'll start by running you through the problem I'm having. Our studio 3 has recently upgraded to OS X 10.6.8, and is running Pro Tools 9.0.5 with an Avid HD Omni interface. Since upgrading to 10.6.8, Pro Tools asks that the firmware on the HD Native Card needs to be updated and halfway through, Woops!! Error -1167. Fun. So after searching the net, I solutions that included swapping ports on the mac, running the firmware updater loads of times or updating it on an older OS. So I did the first two OVER and OVER and OVER again until realising the Studio 2 mac pro is on OS 10.6.7 and is running Pro Tools 9.0.6 - Beautiful. Except Pro Tools opens fine. Doesn't even bother asking for the firmware update, and the NativeCardFlasher I downloaded from the Avid site completes in mere seconds and the Firmware updater in DigiTest completes in seconds too. When I take it back up to Studio 3 - Error 1167! Anybody ever come across this too or worked it out? Cheers Cal |
