Default Mac in a coma

I had to walk away from a session I was working on today( for about 1/2 hr.) and when I got back and hit "0"(playback) nothing happened but that of the sound of the Mac coming to. It made the same wake up sound it makes when Energy Saver is active and computer goes to sleep but this is not the case here. I had already disabled Energy Saver in the extentions list and the PT's screen was still up on the screen( not off like when in sleep mode). Can someone please explain what has happened here? Thanks!

Leave the energy saver extension *enabled* in the extensions folder.

Use the Energy Save control panel to set the machine to "Never Sleep".

If you take the extension and control panel out, it will go to some default setting and sleep anyway and the 001 doesn't seem to be compatible with sleep.

Thanks. I can't believe this has never happened to me before. I wonder what happens if I leave for an hour?? Maybe it get's tired of waiting and finishes the mix itself??? "Digi Autopilot"???
