Direct to CD
I was wondering if MLCD 2.0.1 is able to
record CD's direct from an Audio card? So I could play a DAT into an Audio card and burn a disk while doing this. Thanks |

Well?
Tech support? Is this even a useful idea? |

Re: Direct to CD
This feature is only available on stand alone CD recorders and the only MLCD compatible unit I know of is the Studer D741 which is quite an expensive unit

Re: Direct to CD
Yes, it is a useful idea, but Joules is correct; a standalone unit would be required. Not a bad thing to wish for down the road, though. Anything that saves time is a plus. (well, almost anything. Instant Breakfast never really caught on.)

Re: Direct to CD
I saw a $600 home recording unit at the GoodGuys that records 16bit 44.100 to CDR media in real time. It has SPDIF in and out so supposedly it would work with the Audiomedia II & III.
It's made by Philips. Says you can just hit record and it'll 'burn' you a CD. no need to prep files or even have a hard drive, it's designed to operate stand alone without a computer. Has anyone any ideas on this "New" thing from Philips? |
