Default Mac OS 10.13.4

Although I'm happy to see we're up to 2018.7 with some nice features, I would really love to know when 2018 will be compatible with Mac OS 10.13.4. Any word on this Avid?

Well it may not be officially certified for it, but it's working fine for me on 10.13.6.

Good to hear no issues for either of you. What buffer sizes are you using? I thought there was a serious issue with buffers of 64, 128 @ 96K or 32, 64@t 48K? It would be great if this was solved because some other non-audio software is being a real pain in the ass on 10.13.2.....

I work at 48k, 24bit and a 32 buffer most of the time with no issues.

You guys are lucky. I'm getting error message AAE 9073 with PT 2018.4 and Mac OS 10.13.6 - I'm not sure what the error message is due to... I assumed it was due to PT and OS incompatibility... but you guys are doing okay.

I'm using a brand new Seagate 4TB external drive; have adjusted the PT buffer sizes to no avail.

Was figuring I would wipe out Mac and reinstall with 10.13 (I only upgraded in the first place because Apple recommended it for a battery drainage issue I was having - fixed it for like 3 days) but I would prefer to avoid this. Any advice would be greatly welcomed thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Sounds like it's working for a few. May have to risk it. If I do I'll report back if there are any issues.

Thanks again!

OS 10.13.4 has been a glitchy nightmare for both 2018.4 and 2018.7. After seeing enough folks here willing to take the plunge with 10.13.6, I installed it tonight. VOILA! GLITCHES GONE! Buffer 32 works fine at 48K/24. I had to use 128 before to be stable. Hey Avid, send out an advisory! I shouldn't have to find out by cruising the DUC.

10.13.6 WORKS.
