MIDI out's EMULATED?

Since trying to install my US2400 control surface, it looks as if all of my MIDI outputs, including the ones on my 002R are now shown inside protools as "Emulated" and don't seem to work anymore. I've tried routing the outputs of a MIDI track to the MIDI out on my 002R and run the cable right back into the MIDI IN port and gotten nothing. Any ideas why this would be or what "Emulated" means? I've tried uninstalling the drivers for the US2400, but the remaining MIDI outputs are still shown as Emulated. I've been snooping around (and with the help of Bennychico11) and found something about only 10 registry entries allowed for MIDI devices or something (RME fix?). I had a Yamaha UX16 MIDI interface, but I got rid of it without doing an uninstall on the drivers. I would normally go through the device manager, but without the hardware anymore, is there another way to get rid of these files and registry entries?
