Question Motherboard Opinion

I have seen the approved boards and I have seen people using boards non approved and work fine. I'm trying to save money and I see a Gigabyte board that I like a little more than the ASUS P5Q Pro. They both have a P45 chipset. Here are links to both. Whats your opinion?

Gigabyte

Asus

Between these two, go with Gigabyte. I've had a much easier time configuring Gigabyte over Asus.

The hands-down favorite according to everything I'm seeing on the forum (AND my only personal choice) is the ASUS boards, I've never had to do anything but plug it in & go.
Never tried the P45 chipset, but the 35's work like a charm.

I say, why mess around to save a couple bucks, when something has already been tried and tested time and time again?

This is my first build where I just listened and payed attention to what everyone said works, and I'm glad I did. In the past, I tended to be rebellious, looking for a deal, but it sometimes caused me troubles. Not always, but sometimes. But why take the chance? Who wants to be troubleshooting and posting on here about your motherboard woes when you can be making killer music instead?
