Exclamation Avid plesse read - PT 9.0.2 Disk Image corrupted

Hello Avid,
been trying to download and install the new 9.0.2 updater.
Tried 3 times and after attempting to open the disk image as usual, i got a pop up window in Firefox saying:

"Pro_Tools_902_Update image data corrupted"

Now trying Safari to see if it´s a browser problem.

What kind of internet connection are you using - wired or wireless? What's your download speed like?

Wireless connections are more prone to corruption and there are a number of other factors that could contribute - router configuration, bad/loose cables, etc. I would look at those as possibly being a problem.

Are you using the download manager? If so, try using the direct link when downloading.

Have you made sure to trash the previously downloaded file before redownloading? Also, you should delete your browser cache, as that may be contributing to the problem as well.

Also, this might help to make sure you have the complete download...

In the Mac Finder, go to the menu bar at the top, choose Finder > Preferences
Click on "Advanced", and check the first box: "Show all filename extensions"

If the download is complete, the full file name should be this:
Pro_Tools_902_Updater_70918.dmg

If you do a "Get Info" on the file, it should show this size, or very siimilar:
1.87 GB on disk (1,873,368,111 bytes)

If your download shows a smaller size, or shows the extension as ".dmg.dlm", then it is a partial download. The .dlm extension indicates that it is an incomplete download manager file. The .dlm extension goes away when the download is complete.

I tested the download on the latest non-beta versions of Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome, and all downloaded and opened uncorrupted in my tests. So I'm fairly certain that the files are not corrupted at the hosting end.

No success. Tried downloading from my macbook pro. Same result. As i said, I did dozens of downloads from Avid and other sites and never encountered this problem.
Any alternative link for downloading 9.0.2 ?
thanks

Sorry to hear your problems!

I downloaded both the Win and Mac images last evening without a problem, It was interesting that the Mac image took 8 minutes and the Windows image took 26 - even though the Win image is smaller I believe.

Load balancers do some interesting things so, I'm sure you'll get this resolved. Thanks to the support folks for responding so quickly.

Best
