Default Bug or new "feature" ? Simple editing task

Chop audio, put fade on, move start of next clip earlier. What *should* happen is that the fade should automatically be truncated shorter to accommodate the new clip start, but doesn't seem to in this version. Maybe I've got some sort of "make simple editing harder" preference on??

I'm seeing the same behaviour.

UPDATE**
I have enabled disabled a bunch of editing preferences to see if it's a "feature". No success.
Trash preferences. No Success.
New session. No Success.

are you guys seeing this on Fresh New Blank sessions with One Audio Track and One Audio Clip ?? or is this opening older sessions ??

I'm seeing it in new and old sessions. Just made a session now with one track one audio clip, and the behaviour is still present.

let me see if i can repro this .. from midnights video it sure looks like Layered Editing is on (even though it is not checked) .. standby i can look at this right now ..

I see it here ... it is acting strange .. i will push it up the foodchain from my end too .. hopefully you guys can log this with support as well ..

i moved my test clip (the one on the right had side of the edit point) up to another track and for one time it worked correctly .. so i think this is a bug ..
