keyboard and mouse lose control

During a session my keyboard and mouse lose most of their functions (cant use the transport, or space bar, or edit)
Oddly enough i can go to menu items and save the session. This started after updating to 2022.12.0.
When I escape to the finder, all the usb device works normal in the finder and other programs . Its a pita. cant figure out why this is happening.
Anyone else having this issue? It was running perfect for the past year, now its a drag.

This sounds silly, but have you replaced the batteries in your keyboard and mouse? Happened to me! Took me an hour to figure it out.

i have no batteries. ITs all wired. The keyboard and mouse work fine on other apps. Just pro tools is the issue

I remember this issue happening to me, it had something to do with manually entering values into specific plugins. After (double-)clicking into the plugin and working within it, the mouse/keyboard was in a way binded to the plugin, even after returning into the edit timeline. Took me quite a while to locate this issue. If I remember right those plugins were waves, or perhaps an EQ (Equality?), but I am not sure. It's been a while...
