All I can say is thanks for this plugin as it helps take care of things I've been trying to cobble together for doing a multiband compressor. Long been a fan of Blue Cat plugs.

I can confirm that VSTi's work perfectly in MB-7 V2:

1. Create a normal audio track
2. Insert MB-7 V2
3. Load a VSTi (in MB-7)
4. Create a new MIDI track
5. Set the MIDI output (of the MIDI track) to input Channel 1 of the MB-7 audio track
6. Record enable the MB-7 audio track
7. MIDI input or MIDI data will trigger the VSTi

Update:
Originally tried with PT 10.3.6 and all was well, then I updated to PT 10.3.7 Plugin does not seem to play well with PT 10.3.7; several sbbod when I tried to switch presets in MB7 or change from another plug to MB7 and had to force quit PT. But when I re-opened PT and tried to re-create the sequence of operations that caused the crash it wouldn't happen. Just to be safe I went back to PT 10.3.6

That said I really do like this plugin. Lots of great possibilities.

Do you mean that the Multiband compressor can open VI's
Its a multiband split box. If you leave only one band full range and insert a vst effect it works as a host and processes the input audio.

As a funny side product, it opens vst instruments as well and then you send midi to it and it just works. From what they say...

Now with a bridge from 32 to 64 in between you can even run 32 bit plugins and instruments, but I must say there are many steps and processes running. I want to see that working smoothly before I believe it! :)

Ok Thanks. Sounds a bit off to me for now and we will keep using reaper for the synths not yet ported to AAX64 but thanks for the info.

Take Care

Not sure about you guys, but I'm most interested in the creative aspects of this plugin, i.e., processing different frequency bands individually for some wild effects. If any of you have ever used plugins like Obelisk from Artificial Audio, then you know what I'm talking about. The MB-7 would be like that on steroids. Hell, I just realized that I can actually load Obelisk (VST-only) into the MB-7!

Currently only VST 2.4 is supported.

Update to my post #23 here:
I think I narrowed it down to a strange interaction between ikmultimedia TRacks CS and MB7. I would get consistent PT lockups if I tried changing the plugin via the selector in the plugin's gui in the upper left hand corner. If I went to the track insert and changed the plugin there I wouldn't have a problem. Didn't have to delete the plugin and then insert another plugin, I could just change it and it was okay. Haven't seen this weirdness in any other plugins (yet as he knocks on wood and throws salt over his left shoulder with his right hand). This is on PT 10.3.6 which gave me the same problem I had in PT 10.3.7. Will try PT 10.3.7 and report back if I have any more problems.

update to the update:
Appears to work just fine in PT 10.3.7 given what I mentioned above about changing the plugin from the Insert slot and not from the plugin's gui. Please let this be the end of problems. Doing this back-and-forth dance while watching Djokovic trying to beat Youzhny. Novak wins first 2 sets, loses 3rd and appears to be making a comeback in the 4th.
