Default Fast Track Pro - Loud screeching noise when moving output knob

Hi everyone, I have a FastTrack Pro and everytime I move the output volume knob I hear loud screeching noises. It's really loud and unpleasant. The only way to bypass this is to set it to an acceptable level and use the Mix knob as the volume control. I am using it on a Mac Pro via USB. I just bought a pair of balanced TRS cables thinking it would solve the problem but there is still noise. Anyone can help me ? That would be really appreciated.

Thank you
Emil
