Default Virtual Midi Control Surface - Is there any?

Hi. I'm trying to find a virtual midi control surface that will run inside of Pro Tools as RTAS or as a stand alone unit. I basically want to be able to control and tweak my sound modules and keyboards.

I've googled and found little to nothing. I know I cant be the only person that wants to be able to do this.

I'm looking for just a a program that has knobs and sliders that I can program to send out midi control data and program changes. A bonus if it can save presets so that I can program one for each sound module and fill it with my program bank and patch names.

Maybe Pro Tools all ready has this functionality. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

There are some VSTs that can do that. You'd need the fxpansion VST-to-RTAS adapter. Then search KVRaudio.com. If nothing on the market suits you, you could use SynthEdit to make your own VST plugin that does. Or if you're quick at learning stuff like this, and haven't already used up your 30-day demo of MAX/MSP, you could do it with that and make it an RTAS plug instead of a VST.

VMPK works great. Turns your computer keyboard into a midi keyboard, or you can just click the on-screen piano keys.

Works on all platforms, too. And the best part... it's free!

I just found this. Its over kill. I handles all of your hard synths and keyboard midi program functions and even has a vst plugin.
