Default Phones and the 002r

Do the outputs on the Digi 002 rac provide enough power to run heqadphones? I know that there's a headphone output, but i want to set it up so that i can have multiple sets running. can it be done, or do i need to get a splitter?

Since there is only one headphone output on the 002r, get something like a whirlwind headphone splitter, or better yet get a headphone amp from Alto music like I stated in your other post. The hdph. amp will give you more options and well worth the money.

As noted, the only headphone out is the one on the front. there are many multichannel hp units on the market from under $100 to a few hundred that will provide multiple amps for multiple hp mixes via the 1-8 line outs and using auxes.

The Samson one is decent, 4 separate amps stereo or mono for about $100. We use a Rane HC-6, 6 channels of very nice, clean power, more than enough headroom for even the most inefficient phones.

I recently picked up a PreSonus HP-4 and couldn't be happier. Very clean, small, around $100....

i also have that, and it's superb! in addition to that (for the people who can live without sub-bass) i use wireless monitoring - not because it costs more, but because i happen to have that in my live rig to compare: you can't beat the freedom of wireless, but wired systems have lot less noise and better frequency response.
