Which DVD/R

Hi,

I'd like to purchase an unternal (ide) DVD/R drive for a G4 450DP that would serve as a backup drive as well as be able to burn DVD video discs thatwould be readable by consumer dvd players.
I'm a bit confused by the standards...
Is the Pioneer A04 a good choice?

I've understood that this is the same drive apple uses. The superdrive. Ask your supplier though.

Apple supplies the A03. The A04 is the newer model
