Default New Mac Pro Needs A New Internal Hard Drive

I just got my new Mac Pro (Quad Core 2.8) and I want to install a good internal drive for audio record/playback as I'm upgrading to PT9.
What do you guys suggest for a new drive?
Does it need to run @ 10k like the old days?
Does it need to be partitioned?
I looked at the compatibility page and it was pretty non-specific.
Looking for some direction.
Thanks so much for your help!

WD Black

partitioning: not need but if you want to only use on partition at a time (don't span them, and there not backups)

WD Caviar Black's 7.2k. I have five of them now - all good.

Here's a great deal on the 2TB western digital
Or they have a 1TB if you don't need that much space.
