Default Re: Can't import audio

My error states: Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/Pro Tools/Cfd_Import/AudioDialofMacOS.mm"'line 559

Pro Tools recommended that you keep your session folder on an external hard drive as far as I can remember.

Default Re: Can't import audio (Assertion Error Line 559) with Pro Tools 11 on El Capitan

I have been working with Protools 11.3.1 and El Capitan for almost 3 weeks and I did not had any problems importing audio. I did have some other issues and I installed same version of Protools again and so far I have not been able import any audio of any type. This is very annoying because is Protools 11 compatible with El Capitan, YES or NOT?

Everyime I try to import audio I get the same message... Can't import audio (Assertion Error Line 559) with Pro Tools 11 on El Capitan...

I've run into this same problem. I've recently done a full uninstall/reinstall of PT 11.3.2 and the problem persists. I work as a music editor so previewing tracks in the import window is a huge part of my workflow. Dragging and dropping is not a viable option. Are there any known fixes for this?

I'm on a Mac Mini (Late 2014), running OS 10.11.5, running PT 11.3.2.

Downgrade your OS to 10.10.5 (or earlier) or upgrade to PT 12.3.1 (or later).

Default Error message regarding " Audio Import " solution?

Hey,

Recently tried importing some audio in a session this past week and I was hit with this:

"Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/124699/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559."

Unfortunately I am unable to import any sessions or tracks. I have to drag them in through iTunes and then the whole session gets distorted.

Any suggestions or have seen this error and know how to proceed?

E,

iMac OS X El Capitan version 10
Pro Tools 11
Apollo Twin interface

Have you not read the sticky at the top of the page?

Going by the minimal system info you give first off PT11 is not and will never be qualified to work with ElCrapitan - it's that simple. What is ElCrap version 10? Never heard of that.

Are you trying to import off a drive that's formatted for Windows? That's a recipe for disaster. Is the drive you're importing from going into sleep mode? That's another no-no.

What exact version of PT11 are you using?
