Import audio not working

The .wav I'm importing was recorded at 48 kHz. I'm trying to convert and import it to my session's bitrate of 44 kHz. The program hangs up when I try to convert the file (in order to import it). Any news on this topic?

It would help if you gave us some more info on your system. Like operating system, etc. If on a Mac are you trying to import the file from an external drive that's not formatted in the standard OSX way? That has been known to cause problems, especially if that drive is formatted for Windoze.
