Default Using the 002 as a live mixer

If I use the Digi 002 as a live mixer, do I only get the use of 8 inputs, or can I use something like the presonus digimax along with it and have control over 16 inputs? Thanks for your help.

Only 8, though I think you can route the S/PDIF to 7 and 8.
