pricing a presonus digimax.

Hi there....i have been looking on the web at different places such as sweetwater, musicians friend etc. i have not been able to find a digimax unit for under 1,300 bucks. I feel like a number of people have been talking like the regular digimax unit should be dropping in price since the 96khz model came out, but the truth is, i cant find a place that prices the normal digimax and the 96khz digimax at different prices. What gives, why would the 96khz version be the same price as the regular model? Why isnt the newer model driving the older's price down?....i just want the straight up Presonus Digimax 8 channel preamp (not the LT or the 96khz model) for around a grand. Does anyone know where i can achieve this? Is it possible? thanks for any help.
