Default Sync I/O

If I'm not using video, do I need the Sync I/O to sync my 192's and AD8000's? I got one, but it's not working right. The time is not moving with Pro Tools.

that version of PT are you running?
PT needs to be generating TC or receiving external TC for the counter on the Sync to run

Your AD8000 should lock into 192 ext.clock output just fine. Your Apogee unit just needs to have an Ambus HD Card installed

I need 2 AMBus HD Cards. My AD8000's have the Digi-8 Cards in them.

Can't figure this out. The Sync I/O is set as the loop master, it the time clock is still not running with pro tools. It's not moving when it's the loop slave and the 192 is the master. The drop down menu in peripherals won't give me the option to generate time code.

the TC reader on the Sync only runs when
a) Pro Tools is set to generate Time Code
b) is receiving TC from an external device (say a 2" or VTR deck)

I like to show the Synchronization block in the Edit window and use the GEN TC button

I got it to work. You have to turn LTC on from the transport.
